My good friend and sista in Christ, Annie, and I like to meet each other at the driving range at the golf club in our neighborhood. We say we are meeting to work on our golf swings but it usually ends up as more like a laughfest. Sometimes we go up to the putting green and practice...and giggle. We're still trying to find the time to play 9 holes together, but until then we just squeeze in 45 minutes or so to meet at the range. Annie and I have been sistas in our neighborhood Bible study, we've been Bible study leaders in the women's ministry of our church, we are neighbors, and most of all we are sistas! (Alternate spelling of sisters and sistahs.) Last year, Annie invited my hubby & me to her hubby's birthday party at the club. Hey, That Girl is all about encouraging women in the Lord....in business, in ministry, in life! I'm not talking about reaching out to one particular group of girls , I'm talking about all of the souls and hearts of girls God sends my way! At my age I still have a girl's heart....I STILL enjoy getting together with my girlfriends to eat, to laugh, to giggle, to shop, to pray, to share, to encourage, to be encouraged, to play golf, to go to the beach, to do Bible studies together, watch chick flicks, to dress up, to dress down, and to talk about and eat chocolate! The Bible says that outside we are daily "wasting away" but inside we are "being renewed day by day". I agree. A community-wide Bible study for women is starting up on Wednesday mornings beginning August 12, at Woodmont Golf & Country Club in Canton, GA. We'll be using the book, God in the Marketplace by Henry & Richard Blackaby, as our study material....along with of course, our Bibles. And you, Girlfriends, are invited.
