the devil doesn't have a shield...but we do!
I can't find in Scripture where it says that the devil has a shield . Hmmmm. Have you thought about that, Sisters? God has given us a powerful shield. Hmmmm. So we have a shield and the devil doesn't. Hmmmm. And how do I back up my statement? Well, with Scripture, of course! I'll just briefly share a couple of places where his fiery darts fizzled out every time Scripture was hurled back at his taunts. Look at the passages of Scripture in Matthew 4:1-11 and Luke 4:1-13 . Both passages describe The Temptation of Jesus . The enemy (devil) was in his usual state as our " adversary prowling around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour." (1 Peter 5:8) . That's how the devil rolls and Jesus was fully aware of his evil schemes. Each time the enemy fired death-threat darts at Jesus, Jesus confidently lobbed Scripture bombs back saying, "It is written...." and then quoted specific verses. (Check it out for yourself!
