We're Gonna Sing in the Dark. And You're Invited, Sister!
I woke up this morning to the sounds of birds singing loudly. It was still dark outside and I could also hear rain falling. I laid in bed and thought about our amazing God who loves His creatures and His beautiful world...about how the birds were singing loudly in the dark and the rain! Hmmmm. I was compelled to get up and open our back door to our deck and record a brief video on my phone: https://youtu.be/WqSmQxvCPXs Did the birds believe the sun was going to rise soon and scatter the darkness? Did they know and trust their Creator as "the Light of the world...knowing there is no darkness in Him?" (John 8:12) Did the song birds know the rain is really a reminder of His Reign over all the earth? "For He must reign until He has put all His enemies under His feet" (1 Corinthians 15:25). What about us, as His children, His creatures? What do we believe? Do we believe God is who He says He is? The Protector and Provider of His People. The Savior. Defender. Friend ...
