Are We Gonna Worship Him or Walk Out on Him?

This song,   "Can't Stop Talkin' Darlene Zschech pretty well visually and audibly describes why I do what I do.  I am compelled by the Holy Spirit of God inside me to keep talking about my Spectacular God and Savior Jesus.

I know Him. I KNOW Him. I know what He has done for me and the way He continues to love me and take such tender care of me!  And most of all I know I don't deserve it! But by His grace I have been saved through faith and as it is written: "For Zion's sake I will not keep silent, for Jerusalem's sake I will not remain quiet, till her righteousness shines out like the dawn, her salvation like a blazing torch" (Isaiah 62:1-2).

So there ya go! That's why I'm here I am again on my blog, talkin' about living a life of worship (instead of leading worship singin') because although God has blessed me with many gifts, the gift of a magical voice is not one of them! But that has NOT stopped me from living a life of worship and daily lifting up my joyful noise in songs for the glory of God. :)

During my personal time this morning with my Lord and my Bible I found myself saying, "Lord, there is no one like You, there is no one who can do what You can do, there is no where else to go but to You, there is no one greater than You!"

And quickly a passage of Scripture that makes me tremble -- well there are really a lot of those -- came to my mind was John 6:60-69. The sentences leading up to this passage describe Jesus telling His disciples He is the Bread of Life, and many of His disciples said "the teaching was too hard" and "couldn't accept it."

"For Jesus had known from the beginning which of them did not believe and who would betray Him. He went on to say, 'This is why I told you that no one can come to Me unless the Father has enabled Him.' From this time many of His disciples turned back and no longer followed Him" (v.64 -66).

And then came the shocking question from the Savior of the World, "'You do not want to leave me, too, do you?' Jesus asked the Twelve."  Imagine hearing those words as one of His followers.

And then, "Simon Peter answered Him, "Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. We believe and know that You are the Holy One of God" (v. 68-69).

Peter had learned the truth! There is no one else to go to for help and hope! There is no where else to go but to Jesus! For all things. That's the living truth. There is no other.

And yep, of course I found a song that says the same thing...

So, Girlfriends, are we going to persevere and live a life of powerful worship that can bring Him glory and move mountains? Or will we walk away from Him because we don't believe He is who He says He is?

Let us exalt HIS name together."
