Jesus didn't have authority issues; He was totally consumed!

I can't find "Lone Ranger" or "Master of My Own Destiny" in any of my Bible concordances. Nope. Not one. Not NIV, ESV, NASB, nothing.

And there's a reason for that. As a member of the Body of Christ, we are a family of believers in Jesus Christ, The Good Shepherd. We are His sheep and we are totally dependent on Him for everything; all things come from Him!

All of our gifts, talents, abilities, imaginations, oh, everything comes from Him. We can't accept glory for our beautiful gifts whatever they might be -- but we do have the privilege to bless a lot of people by pointing them to Christ with our talents and give Him all the glory! Whoo hoo!

Jesus teaches us, "I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in Me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from Me you can do nothing" (John 15:5) BAM! There it is.

Lone Rangers don't want accountability. They don't respect authority. They don't like rules or boundaries. They want to control. So they will not find the abundant life Jesus came to earth to give His children!

Here's the kicker: The Savior of the World, Jesus Christ, bowed His knee to the Authority of His Father in heaven every moment of His life!!!! Jesus lived in submission to Him! He loved and trusted Him that much!

Jesus did not make a decision without consulting His Father God! His heart and mind were riveted on the voice and love of His Father. Yep. Even Jesus, The Holy Son of the Living God said, "By myself I can do nothing; I judge only as I hear, and my judgement is just, for I seek not to please myself but Him who sent me" (John 5:30).

Really? Jesus? Yep. It's all there in black and white in the book of John; Jesus' passion to glorify His Father in every way!

Jesus said, "I and the Father are one." John 10:30.

When we are one with God we do everything with Him and through Him. Jesus is totally consumed with the love of His Father, God. God is totally consumed with the love of His Son, Jesus.

He invites us to have that same holy oneness with Him, too! Whoa! Yes!
