The Tale of Two Sistas

Worship Leader Grace Balint sings "He Will Rejoice Over You" This is a familiar Bible story of two sisters, Mary and Martha.  One was hungry for Jesus to abundantly feed and nourish her soul; the other was starving for affirmation of her hard work of hospitality. It's found in Luke 10:38-42.  Here's a snapshot of the powerful message: Jesus had come to town and Martha had invited Him to her home. Martha wanted to prepare a meal but was "distracted by all the preparations" while her sister Mary literally "sat at the Lord's feet listening to what He said."  Martha got frustrated and went over to Jesus and complained to Him and told Him, "Tell her to help me!" His response? "Martha, Martha, you are worried and upset about many things, but few things are needed--or indeed only one. Mary has chosen what is better and it will not be taken away from her." Never Underestimate the Power of God's Love

Worship Leader Grace Balint sings "Salvation Belongs to Our God" Our 4-month old grandson, Jesse Agee.  From the womb little Jesse heard the word of God spoken to him by His parents. Yep. Matt and Mary read Scripture to Jesse while he was still swimming in amniotic fluid. They know God. They know they are living in God's love and power. We did the same thing for our daughters, Grace and Mary, because we also  know --by His grace --  the love and power of God.  Power and love. Love and power. Whew. Two of God's greatest gifts to His children. The love of God can penetrate the hardest of hearts, and pierce the souls of infants and  elderly with salvation!  Nothing can stop God from fulfilling His purposes. Salvation comes from God! His purposes are heavenly! Jesus doesn't sugarcoat anything because He only speaks truth.
