Hard Heart. Hard Life. Soft Heart. Supernatural Life.
Worship Leader Grace Balint sings "Your Love Defends Me"
Trinity #1 -- (God-ordained truth and power, unchangeable)
God the Father
God the Son
God the Holy Spirit.
Trinity #2 -- (Culture created, man-made, easily influenced)
Me
Myself

This is what Trinity #1 looks like on a potter's wheel:
Freedom? Really? Yes! When God tenderizes His child's heart with His grace and love, her heart becomes softened and pliable. It's just like a lump of soft clay on a potter's wheel. As He works with her she learns who God really is and begins to believe in His unconditional love for her. That Clay Girl grows in grace and faith as The Potter shapes her and she learns to surrender her whole self into His loving Hands.
She believes He wants to make her into a magnificent vessel to glorify Him and shine for Him. She truly believes He deeply loves her and only has her good in His masterful hands. He continues to shape her with her own specialized gifts, talents, and abilities. He ordains the beauty of her true colors, race, nationality, and personality.
And this is the Freedom part, my sisters because she has learned to "Delight herself in the Lord and He will give her the desires of her heart" (Psalm 37:4). Freedom! She is free to live, love, laugh, serve, worship, pray, praise, work, rest, shine, and enjoy a life in Christ because she trusts her loving Potter, the One who made her!
And...this is what the worshiper of Trinity #2 looks like:
Okay. A brick on the Potter's wheel. No freedom here, Sisters. This is a fear-driven life because this is a hard heart, insisting on having her own way and demanding everything be about her. She's usually very impatient, manipulative, and very controlling. She's fearful and a worry wart. (Sorry but I'm speaking from experience.)
She is motivated by fear because she doesn't know Jesus as her Savior, or as a child of God she does not believe He loves her and will take tender loving care of her all of her life!
No, she will not bow her knee to Jesus in love and surrender to Him. Nope. She believes the lie that she has to take care of herself and protect herself from this big, bad world and all the big, bad people who hurt her feelings.
She's afraid to let go of SELF and trust the truth of God's promises to love her, defend her, forgive her, and even fight for her in her spiritual battles. Here's a promise: "I have chosen you and not rejected you. So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand" (Isaiah 41:9-10).
It's not too late for you, Sister. Look what He will still do: "I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you a heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh" (Ezekiel 36:26).
God offers a supernatural life to the whole world and can bless and provide waaaaay beyond what we can ask of Him or even think of asking of Him. (Ephesians 3:20)!
