Faith or Frenzy?
Battle weary? We should never try to fight our spiritual battles alone. Our unseen enemy is vicious. We need to pray to God to step in and fight for us. He will. He does. He always wins, too. But we must go to God first. It's rejuvenating to "cast all our cares on God" (1 Peter 5:7) and in faith, rest in His love for us. Right? We're revived when we're resting in God because we're finally, actually trusting God! We're thinking clearly, our prayer life is stronger, and our priorities are right, too. And I mean, it's absolutely exhausting and stressful to be entangled in the frenzy of the devil's lies, isn't it? Not only are we battle weary from trying to resist evil in our own strength, we're totally "occupied" and distracted from " hearing our Shepherd's voice" (John 10).
