Women Who Follow Jesus Don't Just Rock Cradles
Women who follow Jesus don't just rock cradles. We are meant to rock the world with all the love and hope and Holy Spirit power inside of each one of us. We are a global sisterhood of every tribe, tongue, generation, and nation. We were born to nurture; born to be wild for the glory of God.
Women who follow Jesus are fully aware of broken places in their souls and prayerfully run to the Father -- hopefully before they hit rock bottom. Women who follow Jesus have all the privileges of living a supernatural life of the forgiveness of sin, unconditional love, powerful prayers that move mountains, and the grace of God that melts our hearts with His lovingkindness. He provides, protects and keeps all His promises we find in Scripture.
Look briefly at sisters Mary and Martha in the book of Luke. Women will shed tears at a sad story, be quicker to hug a friend, are usually trying to feed somebody, and will become a Mama Bear if she even senses danger is near her children or close friends. Nurturers. Right?
First of all, these sisters were close friends of Jesus! Imagine that! He clearly loved and respected women! Martha was very hospitable and invited Jesus to come for a meal. Yay Martha. but then she complained to Jesus (!) that sister Mary was sitting, not helping her prepare for the meal. Jesus told her she was "upset and worried about many things." Well, she is a woman and...um...let's move on.
As you can read in the actual passage below, we're to follow Jesus, not our feelings.
I have recently discovered by the grace of God, His leading to revive some of my work from 2015-16 and I'm happy for these dry bones to shake, rattle, and roll out of quarantine and into a refreshing new season. These videos may be a few years old but He has revived my passion for the same message to women...the truth, with joy and love pouring from my heart. And the truth never changes, no matter how old my recordings.
"Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting;
but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised.
Give her the reward she has earned,
and let her works bring her praise at the city gate."
Proverbs 31:30-31
Please stay tuned for more posts. I pray the messages will bless your socks off.
Love Jesus, Love the Sisterhood.
