God Wants Us to Know
God wants His children to know how much He loves us. He sees us struggling. He wants us to know so we can be free.
He showed us by willingly submitting to His Father's will with His tortured, bloody, violent death on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins. It was an act of deep love that we cannot understand completely because His love is so great.
But God shows us His love everyday in countless ways. We just have to pay attention and keep looking for Him everywhere. Look at His creation! He's there. Yep.
Let's look at His gorgeous creation called the Niagara Falls! He brought it to my attention recently during a time of private prayer. I was thanking God for His love and mercy and reminded of His unconditional love. I was humbled trying to fathom His love for me with all my frailties.
And while my eyes still closed in focused prayer, in my mind I heard what sounded like loud, gushing water, like a huge waterfall and it kept on gushing.
Immediately I recalled a family trip to Niagara Falls when I was a little girl. I remember pounding, gushing sound of the Niagara Falls and how huge and loud and beautiful it was. I remember the sprays hitting the crowds from a distance. But in my mind, it was as if God wanted me to hear that ongoing sound as if it was what God's love pouring over us would sound like if someone recorded it! Whoa. What? Yes! I get it!
This waterfall is so massive, the tourists standing on the pavement on each end of crest of the waterfall are just specks in comparison.
God's love for His children is more powerful than the magnificent, relentless Niagara Falls! Yes! According to Wikipedia, "The combined falls form the highest flow rate of any waterfall in North America that has a vertical drop of more than 165 feet. During peak daytime tourist hours, more that 6,000,000 - yes, million - cubic feet of water goes over the crest of the falls every minute."
In addition to that force, Wikipedia states, "The verdant green colour of the water flowing over the Niagara Falls is a byproduct of the estimated 60 tons a minute of dissolved salts and 'rock flour' (very finely ground rock) generated by the erosive force of the Niagara River itself."

There are hundreds of YouTube videos of the Niagara Falls. I encourage my sisters to find and play a full-version of one and close your eyes and imagine that's the fierce love of our Lord pouring over us!
Just think. A trinity of majestic waterfalls. Together they're regarded as one name: Niagara Falls. There are no coincidences. God is a perfect Creator, full of Glory.
Yes. God created the beauty and the force of the massive waterfalls. Since He created them, He is greater and His love for His children has a greater force than tons of pounding water.
Jesus wants us to know that. But we won't be truly free until we believe it.
"For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is His love for those who fear Him" (Psalm 103:11).
