Grace Balint sings The Lord's Prayer,  music by Pendleton Brown The Blame Game isn't working for the healing of America. Blaming public prayer in our government schools for our troubles and ruling to remove it  hasn't helped anyone. Maybe because God says,  "The fervent prayer of the righteous is powerful and effective"  (James 5:16). Looking to God as our Ultimate Authority isn't why we have a troubled nation, but national authorities decided to take down the 10 Commandments from our government buildings anyway. Wow.  God says,  "You shall have no other gods before Me"  ( Exodus 20:3).  So whose law is America following and h ow's all this working for US? Blaming unplanned, inconvenient pregnancies as our troubles and paying abortionists to dissect unborn babies to get rid of the problem...who wins with this one? "For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb" (Psalm 139:13). Taking away the people'...

The Wisdom Lady

Image
🎶  Worship Leader Grace Balint sings "Stronger"  ðŸŽ¶ I've met the wisdom lady.  I first met her many years ago in the book of Proverbs. God had just opened my heart to know Him so I was ready for the wisdom lady to open her heart to me! When I read her practical, rich words of life  I thought to myself. "Wow. Really? This is powerful. This is good stuff. This is so simple and wonderful...and these beautiful promises!"  Yep. Since then she's become a mentor to my soul. But not before God sent me through many painful storms and dark valleys over the years to show me it was not wise for me to try to control my little world. Hah! I admit it. Control issues cause pain. It means we're trusting in ourselves instead of trusting in God.Yikes. That's called idolatry!  But I hope I've become a teachable, willing student. I will say I'm wholeheartedly convinced that to be hungry for wisdom is how to receive her holy hospitality! The wisdom lady promises ...

Spiritual Eyes. Supernatural Life.

Image
🎶  Worship Leader Grace Balint sings "Open My Eyes" by Craig Pitman  ðŸŽ¶  "We walk by faith not by sight."  2 Corinthians 5:7 We can't see the blood of Jesus covering our sins. Nope. We don't walk around this planet with His crimson, life-giving blood stains on our clothes. Right? But actually, we do, Sister.  If we have repented of our sins, confessed them to the Lord, cried out for His forgiveness and love to cover us and carry us through this life...then, Baby, we are covered in His protective, redemptive blood. We just can't see it, but as Christ followers, we believe it's there! "For He chose us before the creation of the world. In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God's grace that He lavished on us" (Ephesians 1:7). What about getting totally dressed in God's designer wear of the armor of God? Huh? What color is your suit? Did you get your's online? At the...

To Faithfully Pray is a Heart Choice.

Image
🎶  Worship Leader Grace Balint sings "Word of God Speak"  ðŸŽ¶ Think about  prayer  for a moment.  Seriously, why is it so hard for us to pray?  You know, the faithful, fervent kind of praying of those warrior women who meet God in their prayer closets and/or look forward to gathering with a small group of the sisterhood to bow the knee and passionately call on God. Those church ladies. Uh-huh. Maybe it's hard for us to pray because: We have to  deny ourselves  in order to pray. It's  work  to pray. Yes, it is! But as Christians we should be seeing prayer as a labor of love; love for God and love for people. To pray we have to give up the temptations that call us away from spending devotional time with God. "I don't have time in my busy schedule to pray." Really?  Wow. To pray we have to momentarily put down our cell phones to keep from checking for social media updates. To pray we have to stop our hamster wheel lifestyle  -- m...

HOPE for 2018: Remember Lot's Wife. Then Choose Life.

Image
🎶 Worship Leader Grace Balint sings Zephaniah 3:17 🎶 The tragic story of Lot's wife is told in Genesis 19. But the scene really begins in Genesis 18 with two angels [men, also messengers] of the Lord visiting Abraham and Sarah. The Lord told His friend, Abraham, "The outcry against Sodom and Gomorrah is so great and their sin so grievous that I will go down and see if what they have done is as bad as the outcry that has reached me. If not, I will know." (Genesis 18:20-21). God hears our cries! God saw the wickedness was repulsive and rampant and planned to burn the cities to the ground. Abraham pleaded with God to spare the town (see Genesis 19:26-32) if at least 10 righteous people lived there. So in His mercy, God sent two messengers to lead Lot, his wife, their daughters and sons-in-law out of the town before He totally destroyed it. Here's the point, we see a glaring example of God's mercy in the midst of Abraham's prayerful pleading for forgiveness an...

Jesus Loves His Church. Do We?

Image
🎶 "Immanuel" sung by Worship Leader Grace Balint 🎶 The Church Jesus talks about that will ' not be overcome by the gates of hell"  in Matthew 16:18 is not made of brick and mortar. Nope.  Not literal buildings, but people who have repented of their sins, been washed clean by the blood of Jesus, and have become followers of Jesus Christ. These are people who have been called by God as brothers and sisters in Christ.  But of course, my inspired focus is to zero-in on the power and potential of what God can do with the sisterhood who claims their identity to be WOMEN WHO FOLLOW JESUS. Bam! Period.  Everything else will flow from that:  "Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things will be added to you."(Matthew 6:33). I'm compelled to encourage the global sisterhood by reminding all of us that Jesus is the source of all life and power, healing and hope.  So here we are, my sisters, we are  part of the global Church AK...

A Shout Out to the Sisterhood

Image
🎶 Worship Leader GRACE BALINT sings "Psalm 96" 🎶 We've all seen this. Little plants growing out of concrete sidewalks and driveways. Right? I don't know how many of us stop and stare and wonder how this tiny, fully alive plant broke through the concrete? And the beautiful living plant...is growing !!! What? How is this possible? But hey, many of us are probably too busy with being busy to stop, breathe, and praise the wonder of God all around us. Ain't nobody got time for dat, right? Well, actually we do have time. We seem to find time for what we WANT to do. God shows us who He is through His Word, through music, conversations, and our circumstances. Yep.  God also speaks to us through His creation. "...He is to be feared above all gods...strength and glory are in His sanctuary...Let the heavens rejoice, let the earth be glad; let the sea resound, and all that is in it. Let the fields be jubilant, and everything in them; let all the trees of the forest sin...
